Drifted reimagines Kodály Zoltán’s collected folksong “Felülről fúj az őszi szél” (The autumn wind is blowing from above) into a sustained soundmass drone piece, where the notes are stretched and harmonically extended, forming a floating landscape with vocals. Familiar melodic contours dissolve into slowly evolving microtonal textures, emphasizing subtle shifts in color, density, and resonance.

Paired with a fan installation, the wind becomes part of the music, while ribbons flying in a slow hypnotic motion. The folksong’s story of lovers trying to find each other is mirrored in ribbons that never quite touch, but still trying to reach each other.
